With another weekend under our belts, I figured this would be a good time to post an update.
On Friday night, our good friends Larry and Edith babysat Jack so that Bo and I could go see Mamma Mia! at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. It was a blast! The movie was so great--Bo even liked it! It was funny and just really well-done. Plus, the food was delish.
On Saturday we got up early and went out to Wimberley Market Days with the Caskeys. It was fun, but wayyyy too hot. I HATE the Texas summers!!!!!!!! We hardly ever have a high under 100 degrees, and it is starting to get frustrating, for sure. Anyway, on Saturday night we went to Larry and Edith's for dinner and some game-playing. It was really fun!
Today we had church, which was wonderful as always, and then after Jack's nap we went over to where the Long Center is (it's a big convention center thingy). They've built a really nice park with walking trails, hills, and a big fountain that kids can play in. Jack was really scared of the fountain at first, but he did end up liking it toward the end--and he REALLY enjoyed climbing the hills! He's a climber.
Let me just end with this: we paid $3.72 for gas today!!! WOOHOO that is the lowest I have seen it in quite a while.
